WEIGHT TRAINING TERMS
DROPSETS:
Using a heavier weight to overload the muscle and increase the strength (8 reps if possible, but never less then 6), then drop that weight to 50-60% less then the first weight. Finish your reps to the difference of 15 reps.
I.e. Flat DB press 8 / 15 reps 80 lbs / 7 reps then drop to 50 lbs / 8 reps
SUPERSETS:
This exercise term means doing one exercise following another exercise without any rest. Usually done with opposing muscle groups. I.e. quads and hams.
FORCED REPS:
When you bring your client to failure and then force them through one more rep.
